«Posidonia 2010», the world’s most prestigious Shipping Exhibition that takes place in Greece every two years ended in great success. This year Posidonia was held at the Hellenikon Exhibition Center from the 7th till the 11th of June, 2010.
Otesat-Maritel’s stand 247 was a strong attraction for the Greek and international maritime community. During the exhibition, the stand visited the
Minister of Economy Competitiveness and the Maritime Mrs. Louka Katseli, the President of the Opposition Mr. Antonis Samaras, the President of the
Republic of Panama Mr. Ricardo Martinelli, the General Secretary of Maritime Affairs Mr. George Vlachos, and members of the international shipping
community, while we were honored by the presence of the Chairman and CEO of OTE Mr. Panagis Vourloumis, who was welcomed by Mr. George Polychronopoulos,
CEO of Otesat-Maritel.
Otesat-Maritel presented its products and services to the visitors coming from the International Maritime Industry, while emphasis was given to the cutting edge broadband satellite telecommunications systems, Inmarsat FleetBroadband and Iridium OpenPort. Also, our company presented the Value-Added Services and the total solutions that provides to the Greek and the international maritime industry, combining maritime satellite services, terminal equipment, land, mobile and satellite telecommunications networks and IT applications. Posidonia 2010 visitors had the opportunity to experience «live» the products and services of our Company as if they were on a ship, making phone calls, sending e-mail and sms and using the Internet.
On Thursday, 10/6/2010 the service «online-Manager» was launched at the stand of Otesat-Maritel. «online-Manager» is a Value-Added services provided by Otesat-Maritel which allows the user to activate, deactivate and make changes on the SIM card and services, either online, or by filling in and returning the appropriate form, to access information of SIM card and to suspend/resume the SIM card. The users alsi have the ability to control their cost by activating the service Usage monitoring and control (e-mail Alert and Auto-Suspend), to monitor the SIM card traffic and many more. All these within a user-friendly, secure and multiple-level-access environment.
