The Inmarsat-4 F3 satellite has been successfully launched by a Proton Breeze M rocket from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan.
The six-tonne satellite blasted off at 22:43 UTC on August 18, reaching speeds of 16,780 miles per hour by the time a
signal was acquired at 02:28 by Inmarsat’s ground station at Fucino, Italy.

Quicksilver wins 3rd place in the standard division of the «Posidonia Cup 2008» yacht race.

Otesat-Maritel took place in the Posidonia Cup, forming part of Inmarsat’s Crew on board the yacht «Quicksilver» along with other major shipping companies.
Quicksilver competed against 24 others yachts in an exciting 2.5 hours race and won 3rd place.
